Preview: Sequencing Workshop, or Prix Fixe Menu Yoga

Below is one of last month’s menus from my husband’s restaurant, Rue Cler (eat there!).

Sequencing a yoga class can follow a format similar to this menu. Teachers choose a first course, a second course, and a third course to create a full meal, like the prix fixe menu. Or, in home practice or shorter sessions, like those I lead for running groups or as sample practices after I speak on yoga for athletes, they choose from the à la carte menu. For a break during your day, maybe you throw in a quick pose or two—one of the assiettes. And everyone loves beignets.

To learn more about this approach, join me August 12–16 for a weeklong workshop, Sequencing Yoga Classes from Welcome to Namaste. We will work together to build a full menu plan, so that you can choose sequences that suit your students’ needs no matter what their taste or dietary habits.

If you can’t make it in person, the workshop will be available this fall as an online course and sequence database. Read more.
