come practice with me at Kripalu
two programs, back to back, in the Berkshires—March 2027
One weekend to rest.
One week to learn to teach rest.
Come for either. Come for both.
Kripalu Center sits on 100 spectacular acres in the Berkshire hills of western Massachusetts.
I will be there March 5–12, 2027, teaching gentle, yin, restorative, and yoga nidra—first as a practice, then as a craft.
Gentle, Yin, and Restorative Yoga: Restore Comfort and Ease
March 5–7, 2027 · $360 · all levels, no yoga experience necessary
A weekend of gentle, yin, and restorative yoga with yoga nidra, built for people who are running on empty. If you are driven—an athlete, a caregiver, someone whose calendar has been full for a very long time—this is the weekend where you practice accepting ease as your birthright rather than something you earn back later.
You will leave with practices you can keep using, and a clearer sense of where effort belongs and where it does not.
Teaching Restful Yoga: Gentle, Yin, Restorative, and Nidra for Teachers
March 7–12, 2027 · $460 · 23.5 Yoga Alliance continuing education hours
Five days for yoga teachers who want to teach the softer styles with real skill. Most 200-hour trainings move fast through gentle, yin, restorative, and nidra, or skip them entirely—and then we are handed a room of tired students and asked to slow down, and it turns out slow is harder.
We will work on the science of nervous system regulation and why rest is a skill rather than a default for most of us. We will build formulas for balanced, inclusive classes in each of the four styles, and hybrid classes that braid them together. We will get specific about cueing and prop work, because that is where restful classes are won or lost.
You will leave with yoga nidra scripts you can adapt and lesson plans you can teach the week you get home.
come for the weekend, stay for the week
The programs run back to back, so you can arrive on March 5 as a student and stay through March 12 as a yoga teacher. Rest first, then learn to offer it. Each program is booked separately.

about Kripalu
Kripalu is the largest yoga retreat center in North America, an educational nonprofit that has been doing this for more than fifty years. The word “Kripalu” means compassion. I have been on the faculty there since 2009.
Your stay includes three delicious, healthy meals a day, daily yoga and meditation classes beyond our program hours, and access to the lovely grounds. Healing Arts sessions can be booked separately—I highly recommend the Ayurvedic treatments! Accommodations start at $109 (weekday) or $129 (weekend) per night and are added to the program tuition.
